Portland Samba is a professional performance ensemble. Our shows feature energizing rhythm, costumed dancers, and dynamic visuals. We offer a variety of performance levels to suit your event and the demands of your venue.

Samba classes run every Saturday
Beginner Class @ 10:30 AM and Intermediate Class at 11:30 AM
at the Community Music Center in SE Portland.
$10 for drop-in per class | $35 for 4-class punchcard.

Want to dance with Portland Samba? Dive into the vibrant world of Brazilian Samba no Pé, a high-energy, exhilarating dance that brings the heart of Rio right to you! Saturday class focuses on the iconic fast footwork and rhythmic flow of samba, celebrating Brazilian culture through movement. Whether you’re a beginner or have some samba experience, this class will guide you through the basics of samba footwork, body movement, and coordination to help you dance with confidence and joy. The Estrela dance group welcomes people of all backgrounds and experience levels, rehearsing alongside the musicians, learning choreography, and building confidence together in a supportive and celebratory environment.
